# Referrals

> Earn rewards by inviting others and give them a discount on fees.

# Referrals

Invite new users with your referral code to earn rewards when they pay eligible fees. Referred users also receive a discount on their own fees.

## Overview

The referral program has two participants:

* **Referrer**: the user who shares a referral code.
* **Referee**: the user who signs up or connects through that referral code.

Rewards and discounts are tied to the referral relationship between the referrer and referee.

## Unlock referrals

This reward is based on the fees paid by referred users after they start using the product.

## Rewards and discounts

### Referrer reward

Referrers earn **10% of the eligible fees** generated by their referees.

For example, if a referee generates **$100 in eligible fees**, the referrer earns **$10**.

### Referee discount

Referees receive **4% off eligible fees**.

The discount applies to fees charged to the referred user.

## Important notes

* Referral rewards and discounts only apply to eligible fees.
* Rewards and discounts only apply after the referral relationship has been created.
