What slippage is

Slippage is the maximum price movement you will accept between requesting a quote and the trade settling. It sets the minimum amount you will receive. If the market moves beyond your tolerance and the trade cannot deliver at least that minimum, it reverts rather than filling at a worse price.

Setting slippage

Open Settings from the button at the top right of the order form. Slippage is set to 0.5% by default. You can select a preset or enter a custom value. Choosing a value is a tradeoff:
  • Lower slippage protects you from unfavorable price movement but makes a trade more likely to revert if the market moves.
  • Higher slippage makes a trade more likely to fill but allows a wider range between the quoted and received amounts.

Other settings

  • Gasless swap. Sign your order with Permit2 and have a relayer broadcast the transaction and pay the network gas. See the next page for how this works.
  • Show Token Value in USD. Display the USD value of the assets in your order.
